In this tutorial, I will discuss how to resolve unsuccessful RDP login. The reasons may be due to various factors, but this time the discussion is exclusively CredSSP Encryption Oracle Remediation.
Incidentally, I had a little problem a few days ago, meaning I could not log in to the Windows RDP that I had purchased in P-Store. The notification error popup that appears is shown below:
What is CredSSP Encryption Oracle Remediation
Okay, before discussing further, it is good if you know a little about CredSSP. CredSSP stands for Credential Security Support Protocol. This protocol provides security support that helps secure user credentials from the user’s device (local) to the user server (local) as an encrypted path using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
In May 2018, Microsoft made a security update that should be installed on local computers and servers. This update was made to fix a CredSSP validation bug during the authentication process. You can find such errors on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. Most users think that the error is from the server and they restart the server repeatedly, but unfortunately this does not resolve the problem. You can fix this error by making some adjustments to the local PC / device that you use to access Windows RDP.
How to fix a credential error
There are several ways that you can do to fix a CREDSP error so that you can run smoothly while doing remote RDP through your device. For the record, my device uses Windows 10 Professional as the OS.
Method 1: Group Policy Editor
Go to menu DAUD On your device (press Windows key + R)
